Emergency First aid At Work

To define what is meant by First Aid
To identify correct procedures in the event of recovery position being required
To be able to competently perform BLS & be assessed on training manikin
Gain knowledge of emergency situations ie bleeding, shock, resuscitation, burns and choking
Must be taken every 3 years to retain the certificate.

Induction Standard 3: Legislation, H& S responsibilities; Incident / Accident Reporting. Risk Assessment, Common Hazards / COSHH, Policy & Procedure

AED Defibrillation course
~
1 Day
Learn how to use a defibrillator. This is full day course.

Fire Safety Awareness Training

½ Day
Potential causes of Fire, How to prevent Fire, Policy & Procedure, What types of Fire are they used for?, What to do in the event of a Fire, What Fire equipment do you have?

First Aid at Work (Appointed Person) Level 3

3 Days
To define what is meant by First Aid.
To identify correct procedures in the event of recovery position being required.

Needs 2 x assessors and an exam.

First Aid at Work (Appointed Person) Refresher Course

2 Day
Every three years the first aid "Appointed Person" must renew their certificate, this 2 day course provides this update.

Manual Handling of Persons and Load Management

The process of handling loads in the workplace. Load handling injuries and the activities which cause them. Load Handling assessment, Manual Handling Operations Regs 1992, Communication, considering different types of equipment eg hoists, moving & handling belts. Practical and Theory
